She completed her undergraduate degree in animal and veterinary sciences with a concentration in pre-veterinary studies in 2011. She then moved to Iowa and completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Dr. Anderson is passionate about her patients and clients and her professional interests include hospice\/palliative\/end-of-life care, preventative medicine, dentistry, pain management, alternative medicine and exotic\/wildlife medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Anderson loves spending time with her family. She lives in Southern Maine with her husband Eric, her children Hazel and Leo, her mixed breed dog Hershel and her cat Cash. Together, they enjoy camping, traveling, going to the numerous beaches Maine has to offer and baking on rainy days.<\/p>\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n                <div class=\"vetcontainer fullwidth flex--row vert__padding--sm\">\r\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/432\/2022\/04\/Laura-Martell-1.jpg\" \/>\r\n                    <div>\r\n                        <h2 class=\"margin--none\">Laura Martell<\/h2>\r\n                        <h3 class=\"margin--none\">Hospital Manager<\/h3>\r\n                        <p>Laura has been with CareVet of Gray since its origin in August of 2019. She began working at the front desk, moved into a technician position and now juggles her time as the hospital manager. With a background in animal rescue, working for the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society for a handful of years, she continues to uphold her passion for animals by devoting lots of time to helping the many animal rescues that currently partner with Gray.<br \/><br \/>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLaura lives in New Gloucester with her husband, two dogs, a Border Collie\/Malamute named Milo and Sandy, a rescue dog from down south. She also has two very cuddly cats, twins named Fatty and Skinny. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, visiting their camp up north of Millinocket, hiking, boating, or hanging out with her beloved chickens. He came to us in 2022 through a client who found him as a stray and cared for him for a few months. When she realized he belonged to no one and she was not able to keep him she reached out to us for help. We all instantly fell in love with this handsome Maine Coon. Thomas spends most of the day adoringly following the staff around, offering support and head buts as needed. He keeps a close watch on everything they do just in case he needs to jump in and help out. He takes his job as Director of Operations very seriously and as you can see even sports a tie these days!<br \/><br \/>If you see him in the office, go slow, as he can be shy with new people.<\/p>\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n                <div class=\"vetcontainer fullwidth flex--row vert__padding--sm\">\r\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/432\/2022\/04\/Darcy-Davison-1.jpg\" \/>\r\n                    <div>\r\n                        <h2 class=\"margin--none\">Darcy Davison<\/h2>\r\n                        <h3 class=\"margin--none\">Veterinary Assistant<\/h3>\r\n                        <p>Darcy is one of our veterinary technicians but also runs the hospital's Facebook page and enjoys getting the adorable photos of all the client\u2019s pets. She takes great pleasure in seeing everyone\u2019s pets from day to day as her passion and love for animals runs extremely deep.<br \/><br \/>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDarcy lives in Raymond with her husband and 5 dogs, Tommy, Desi, Bonnie, Basil and Bree. Though she has 2 adult children, her dogs are her kids as she considers them family and they bring her incredible joy and fulfillment.<br \/><br \/>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWhen Darcy is not working she enjoys anything in nature with her dogs as well as enjoying time\r\nat her camp in the summer by the river.<\/p>\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n                <\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n                <div class=\"vetcontainer fullwidth flex--row vert__padding--sm\">\r\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/432\/2025\/06\/LouiseSawyer.jpg\" \/>\r\n                    <div>\r\n                        <h2 class=\"margin--none\">Louise \"Weezie\" Sawyer<\/h2>\r\n                        <h3 class=\"margin--none\">Veterinary Assistant<\/h3>\r\n                        <p>Louise joined the team here at CareVet of Gray in February of 2025 and has been a welcome addition. A Maine native, she brings with her over 30 years of vast veterinary experience and describes herself as \"a lifer.\" She has worked in all areas of the veterinary spectrum, including urgent care, emergency, primary care, and shelter medicine. She enjoys all aspects of her job, but thrives on nursing care, dentistry, and client education. Her interests include reading, movies, true crime, nature observation and exploration, and any activity that involves being in or around the ocean. She shares her home with two dogs, a Greyhound named Tuesday and an Italian Greyhound named Cielo. In May of 2024 he received his undergraduate degree of Animal and Veterinary Science from the University of Maine Orono. He will begin his next 4 years of veterinary school at Cornell University this fall. He spends his school breaks and summers helping us here at Gray and we couldn't be more appreciative of all his hard work and dedication to our practice. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, hiking and fishing. She lives in Lewiston with her family and pets, an Australian Cattle Dog named Aurora, two cats Lewis and Bagheera and a Bearded Dragon named Drax. She currently lives in Raymond with her husband and two children. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, bargain shopping and watching K-dramas!<br \/><br \/>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter Millie, the family dog of 12 years passed away, Michelle felt a calling to help and work with animals. She then landed the perfect job at the front desk at Gray. She even found the family a new rescue dog named Gloria! Her lifelong passions are working with animals and helping people so she knew it would be a great fit to join the team as a Client Care Specialist.<br \/><br \/>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTiffany lives in New Gloucester on a small beef cow farm with her husband and two children along with an assortment of animals. In addition to the black angus cows, turkeys, chickens and pigs she also has a small pack of herding dogs and her beloved and very spoiled pugs. In her free time she enjoys exploring nature, baking and playing board games with her family.
