She then pursued her passion for animal health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2011.<br \/><br \/>\r\n\r\nCurrently residing in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband, three children, one dog, two cats, and a tank of fish, Dr. Jones is deeply committed to ensuring the well-being of pets throughout all stages of their lives. She takes great pride in offering comprehensive care, focusing on preventative health and wellness strategies to help pets lead long, happy lives. She has known she wanted to become a veterinarian since she was a little girl. She started by volunteering for a cat rescue at a young age and worked as a veterinary assistant at the local clinic throughout high school and college. Dr. Daum received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Nutrition from Rutgers University. She went on to earn her Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2011. She currently resides in the Delaware Valley with her husband, 2 children, and 2 cats named Capilano and Kitsilano. She assists the doctors with various tasks; blood draws, restraint, radiographs, line preps, etc. She loves what she does! Jaclyn has a diverse background in various fields, including education, customer service, and marketing, and a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. Jaclyn has always had a love of animals from a very young age and grew up with many different pets - underwater frogs, fish, hamsters, hermit crabs, crayfish, and dogs. She has experience caring for animals in a shelter environment through adoption counseling, managing the foster program, maintaining rescue partnerships, accepting owner surrenders, overseeing the community cat 'trap, spay\/neuter, release program, and assisting with the medical care, treatment, and intake of various animals. Jaclyn is passionate about fostering animals and continues to foster cats, kittens, puppies, and dogs in need. Jaclyn's favorite part of working at CareVet of Newport Pike is making sure pet parents and their pets feel comfortable and supported during their visit. She also enjoys assisting doctors with blood draws, running lab work, and taking radiographs. When Jaclyn isn't working, she spends her free time with her husband, Steven, and their three dogs and cat - Rocksteady, Cujo, Milkdud, and Nimrod.
