Care You Can Count On
Formerly known as Newington Veterinary Clinic, CareVet of Newington was founded in 1972 by Dr. Joseph Helfand. Dr. Helfand provided medical and surgical care for the pets of Newington until his retirement in 2001. Dr. Lynn Fortin, a Newington native, purchased the clinic in 2001 and provided compassionate care and high-quality, evidence-based medicine, until her retirement in 2024. Now, the current doctors and staff of CareVet of Newington continue to work in the community-based tradition of Dr. Helfand and Dr. Fortin. We work hard to provide great customer service and thoughtful, high-quality care to the pets and clients who visit our practice.
