Ardent’s submission centers on a canine autologous cancer vaccine combined with a checkpoint inhibitor.
The vaccine uses cells from the dog’s own tumor, along with a canine-specific adjuvant and checkpoint inhibitor, to encourage the patient’s immune system to better recognize and respond to the cancer.
The therapy is being developed as a personalized treatment option that may provide veterinarians with an alternative or complement to traditional chemotherapy.
Pilot data reported that 85 percent of the participating dogs developed an increased immune response to their own tumor antigens. The submission also notes promising results from related checkpoint-inhibitor research and a completed USDA clinical trial enrollment.
Pending licensure, the treatment is intended to be accessible through general veterinary practice. The veterinarian would remove and ship the tumor for processing, and the personalized vaccine would be returned ready for administration without requiring specialized equipment.

Pointer Health has developed a prognostic medicine platform designed to identify elevated disease risk in individual patients—sometimes years before traditional clinical recognition.
Using predictive and causal modeling, the platform analyzes information already contained in a patient’s longitudinal medical record and creates personalized risk assessments across more than 170 conditions, without requiring additional testing, equipment, or major workflow changes.
Rather than comparing a patient only to population averages, Pointer looks for meaningful changes within that individual animal’s own history and baseline.
The platform then translates those risk factors into accessible education for pet owners, helping them understand what their pet may be at risk for, why that risk is elevated, and which preventive actions or monitoring steps may matter most.
The goal is to shift companion-animal medicine from a primarily reactive model toward one where disease risk can be recognized earlier and patients can be directed toward monitoring, screening, lifestyle changes, and preventive care before clinical signs become obvious.
In a 2025 practice pilot, clinics using the platform saw increased participation in bloodwork, wellness testing, urinalysis, and dental prophylaxis—demonstrating how personalized education can influence both client behavior and clinical follow-through.

Developed in collaboration with Eko Health and veterinary cardiologists, this technology works with a veterinarian’s existing stethoscope and clinical routine to provide AI-supported canine heart-murmur detection and grading.
The goal is to help veterinarians detect murmurs more confidently, improve conversations with pet owners, and support earlier, data-informed next steps for patients who may be developing heart disease.
Earlier and more consistent murmur detection can lead to timely cardiac imaging and help identify the point at which treatment should begin—potentially before a dog develops the first clinical signs of congestive heart failure.
The technology entered a limited clinical launch in May 2026, and participating veterinarians reported that the device and app added value to routine canine physical examinations and helped support their clinical assessments.
